PARA Tours

Tailored travel experiences where sauna comes first

Travel guided by sauna culture
PARA Tours are exclusive trips to Russia focused on exploring its rich sauna and banya culture.
Sauna is the organising principle of every journey.
Each itinerary is built around visits to carefully selected bathhouses, local sauna clubs, and traditional banyas.
You’ll experience different types of steam, temperatures, and recovery rituals, guided by trusted practitioners.
Trips can be private or small-group.
We help you choose the focus (rest, learning, inspiration), select locations and bathhouses, plan the order of sessions, and coordinate with local partners for accommodation and logistics.
PARA Tours are designed for those who want to explore Russian sauna culture in depth — with time to learn, experiment, and fully arrive in the heat.
What PARA takes care of
PARA Tours are fully curated — we design the flow so you can stay inside the experience.
We:
01
Shape the itinerary and daily rhythm of the tour
02
Book bathhouse sessions and curate the best steam masters for individual and small-group experiences
03
Arrange ground transfers between key locations and sauna visits
04
Recommend hotels and Airbnbs that fit the spirit of the trip, and can help with reservations if needed
05
Share a curated list of gastro spots — from simple canteens and tea rooms to special dinner places
Flights to and from Russia are arranged separately and are not included in the tour fee.
Where possible, we also help you set up local payment options (such as local bank cards or equivalents), so everyday logistics feel smoother once you arrive.

Sauna and banya experiences along the way
Each PARA Tour is built around a mix of spaces and formats, so you can feel the range of Russian heat culture — from historic bathhouses to intimate private steaming.
You might visit:
The oldest public bathhouse in Moscow
A historic banya where generations have come to warm up, recover, and socialise. Classic halls, long-held traditions, and the feel of a place that has seen thousands of steam sessions.
The most authentic neighbourhood banya
A lived-in, local bathhouse with regulars, familiar rituals, and a very real everyday rhythm. Less polished, more "this is how people actually bathe here".
Modern public bathhouses
Contemporary spaces with updated design, spa-level comfort, and curated heat zones. Here you see how banya culture evolves inside a modern wellness context.
Private banyas
Smaller, more intimate spaces — in nature or in the city — where the focus is on calm, privacy, and slow time with your own group.
Private guided steam experiences
One-on-one or small-group sessions with trusted steam masters: personalised work with heat, oak whisks, herbs, and recovery, adapted to your level and needs.

Each tour combines these in different proportions, so you can feel how the same steam culture lives in different spaces and moods.
Hosted by PARA Studio
Each tour is accompanied by a PARA Studio representative who travels with the group, helps navigate the local context, and supports you during your sauna visits.
They are your link between cultures: explaining what will happen in each banya, helping you feel safe and prepared, and making space for questions and reflection along the way.
Across the trip, you can expect 3−4 curated sauna and banya experiences per week — a balanced rhythm of heat, rest, and exploration, with time in between to integrate and enjoy the city or nature around you.
From there, we select bathhouses, steam masters, and locations that match your profile, and build a clear rhythm of 3–4 sauna experiences per week with enough space in between for rest and exploration.
The result is a tour that feels like it fits you:
Recognisable as PARA, but shaped around your way of moving through heat, city, and time.
How we shape your tour
Every PARA Tour is tailored — there is no single "standard" route.
We start from you: your interests, your pace, and the role sauna plays in your life right now.
Some guests come for deep rest, some to learn steaming techniques, others to explore culture and architecture through bathhouses. We design the flow of the trip around this focus.
When we plan your journey, we look at:
Personal interests
history vs. hands-on practice, classic banyas vs. modern spaces, more learning or more letting go.
Preferred flow
how many sauna days you want per week, how intense the heat should be, how much silence or social time feels comfortable.
Lifestyle and rhythm
early mornings or late evenings, free time for walks and cafés, or a more structured schedule.
